About Alan Reuber
Retired from sports, Alan Reuber enjoyed a career in collegiate and professional football spanning nearly a decade. Mr. Reuber started playing football as a member of the Azalea Bulldogs in St. Petersburg, Florida. The team was well established with the Pinellas Youth Football Conference (now the SunCoast Youth Football Conference), with a tradition stretching back to 1971. Relocating to Plano, Texas, Alan Reuber excelled as a letterman in varsity football at Plano High School. He led the Wildcats to the Area Championship while achieving recognition through All-District, All-Metroplex, and All-State Class 5A selection. Alan Reuber continued to excel in football as an offensive lineman throughout his years as an undergraduate at Texas A&M University while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Mr. Reuber next earned selection by the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent. He gained professional experience with the Arizona Cardinals as backup left tackle in 2004 and was invited to participate in Cardinals’ practice squads over the next two years. Alan Reuber continued to practice with such NFL teams as the Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and San Francisco 49ers until 2008. Since then, Mr. Reuber has engaged with a Dallas transportation firm as logistics account manager. He works for a refrigerated freight business that has significantly expanded its scope of operations in the past three years. Having completed the Transportation Intermediaries Association’s certification program, Alan Reuber is licensed as Certified Transportation Broker. Licensing requires specialized knowledge of the current legal and regulatory environment as well as trends in transportation and business management.
Mr. Reuber maintains a firm commitment to the Dallas community, participating with his family in ministry activities of a local Bible church. He also speaks regularly to children, encouraging them to stay focused on their goals in school and in sports. One afternoon spent talking with groups of fifth-graders at a local elementary school was particularly well received, with Alan Reuber receiving a personal note from many students expressing appreciation. In his free time, Mr. Reuber enjoys restoring vintage automobiles, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
